Who i am

My high school English teacher told my mom that the best word to describe me was insistent and since then, I’ve done my best to live up to that.

When I was six, I told my mom I wanted to be a singer and an actor and she said, “Leah, you know you can be both?” and from then on, it was all I could think about. I began emailing the admissions director for NYU Steinhardt MT at age 12, asking what I could do to ensure my acceptance into the school. At 15, I got a part-time job and began saving to put myself through the Steinhardt summer intensive for high school students. Fast forward four years and I graduated from NYU with a degree in Vocal Performance Musical Theatre.

Five years, a pandemic, and many life lessons later, I’m still in NY working as an actor and I couldn’t be happier to be living the dream six-year-old Leah couldn’t imagine was real. I can’t wait to see what comes next.
